Log Repair or Replacement Service

Cannon Chinking has the ability to do either a small log repair or up to a whole log replacement. The two determining factors as to which method is used are the size of the area affected and how deep the log rot is.

There are three types of repair that we can do, depending on the severity of the rot. If the area is small and not to deep we can use some epoxy products to fill and repair it. However if the area is large in length and fairly deep we will probably have to do a log veneer application.

The worst case scenario would be if the area is large in length and deep into the log, at least over 50% of the diameter. We would then be looking at finding a company to make some replacement logs to do the job properly. The replacement is done to help to maintain the structural integrity of your home.
