INSECTICIDESPERMA-CHINK SHELL-GUARD is an excellent product that gives you both protection from wood ingesting insects and wood rot. The borates are combined with glycol carriers which enable it to penetrate deep into the wood for maximum protection. You only need to have one applicatiion of Shell-Guard for the life of your home as long as the exterior surface is maintained properly. You simply mix it with water in a 50/50 ratio and your colorless and odorless mixture is ready to apply. Shell-Guard is compatible for use under the water based exterior Lifeline stains. PERMA-CHINK ARMOR-GUARD is a 100% borate powder concentrate which when mixed with water and applied properly offers an excellent preventive treatment against insects and wood rot. Armor-Guard doesn't have the glycol carriers so it stays near the surface of the wood. This is compatible for use nder oil based stains. It is designed to be applied to raw wood in two separate coats to achieve maximum protection. BUG JUICE is an odorless insecticide additive designed to eliminate crawling and flying insects. It is a contact pesticide that begins working after an insect makes contact with the treated surface. Bug Juice can be used on either interior or exterior surfaces and can be used in kitchens and pantries. When added to an oil based stain or a water based stain it will not affect the color or drying time of the stain. If you are applying more than one coat of stain the Bug Juice should be applied in the last coat.
